I trust that my e-mail finds you doing well. I have tried not to say this too much since the time that I joined almost a year ago so that the sentiment does not get lost through repetition, but as I sat in my Cleveland office early in the day yesterday something came to me that I have to share with both of you.
When I realized almost two years ago that we needed a new partner, I undertook a serious evaluation of all of the options available to us. There were a number of criteria on my list, and very few firms could meet all of them. I felt that you not only met all the criteria on my list of ideal qualities, but you offered several resources that I had not thought of that I realized would be extremely helpful to our efforts to grow our business as well.
One of the areas in which I knew you would challenge me was in the area of how I approached my clients and prospective clients as it relates to planning. We were already doing planning work on an informal basis, but the track you developed provided us the structure we needed to implement this in our office far more quickly and formally than we would ever have been able to do on our own. We were developing many of the resources in our office to improve our systems in this area, but you allowed us to accelerate our development in this area in a way that no other firm that I looked at had developed. Over the past two weeks, we have signed five planning agreements for fees totaling approximately $ 10,000. This is a revenue stream that we did not previously have. Money is not everything, but we are already seeing how using this approach has not only improved our revenue streams, but it has also helped us determine which prospective clients see the value in the work we do and are far more likely to be ideal long-term clients. People value that which they are willing to pay for.
As I sat in my office yesterday, I was looking over my notes for my Social Security Income Planning workshop that we hosted that evening at 6:00 PM. We expected approximately 50 qualified prospects that evening, with another 50 coming next Tuesday for the alternate date we offered for this workshop. 100 qualified prospects over two evenings. There is absolutely no waythat we could have done this with our prior firm with the ease that you made possible through the systems that you have developed.
I have a phenomenal support team. Susan joined me almost four years ago. When her position was created and I interviewed her, I made the statement that if I could meet with my clients, speak before groups, and delegate everything else that I would be very, very happy. You have given us the resources we need to come very close to making that model a reality. I know that we will get there much more quickly than we otherwise could have because of the systems that we have available. Thank you for changing my life (I may even be so bold as to say our lives if I can speak for my team) in such a positive way.
